Rii RGB LED Wired Gaming Keyboard,Standard Keyboard for PC,Laptop,Office,Gaming

This is a long term review as this was bought September 2017 and used daily ever since.

This was bought for a gamer in our household as I thought with those late night game sessions, this type of keyboard would help to see the buttons a bit easier than a bulky clumsy side table lamp. This ended up being one of the best computer accessory purchases that I’ve ever made. Yes, this is only a keyboard but this thing is awesome.

Some general thoughts:

– “A touch of something better” the cord for this is actually braided !
– Standard size keyboard and the front wrist rest is a very nice extra feature
– The keys are quick and responsive during game play
– The 6 different colors as all bright and crisp
– The ability to have the LED ‘ breathing ‘ is a cool feature ( Watch my video )
– People say this keyboards brightness cannot be adjusted BUT IT CAN ( Watch my video )
– In the more than 2 years of use and hundreds of thousands of keyboard strokes, this has performed flawless
– If someone does not like the LED light feature, simply just turn it off with the ✹ key

110% we can most definitely recommend this to anyone !

To sum up: Great keyboard but watch out.

Very inexpensive for what you get. Braided cord. Board flexes a little but not to much.
Looks like a mechanical keyboard and types well. Good spacing on the keys.
The coloring is great. Looks great on the keys and the backlight is wonderful while not being too flashy.
The quality is fantastic for a 30$ keyboard and I highly would recommend it.

But… There is some lies here.
The Canada flag is a lie.
This is the most EngRish product I’ve ever seen. Just check thier website riitek.com. The box it comes in is even worse.
The manual it came with was French and Spanish. No english manual.
Had to YouTube to figure out the 3 color options. (Fn + sun button) for breathing and (pg up/down + sun button) for brightness.

In the end I had to return it due to it crashing my computer when operating cpu at max load for an extended time. Must be too much power draw for the lights on this keyboard. It actually corrupted my OS on the 3rd crash and had to reformat my drive.

I did really like this keyboard. Until it overloaded the cpu and broke windows.

I was initially hesitant about the RGB lighting on this keyboard—it seemed potentially garish or overly flashy—but over time I’ve actually come to enjoy the subtle glow and the range of preset effects. It’s modest but visually pleasing, even if customization feels basic. Overall, the build quality surprises me considering the low price: the keys have a decent “mechanical feel” clickiness (though it’s not a true mechanical switch), and the keyboard sits solidly without wobble during typing. The phone holder part is definelty not for all phones espcially if you have a bulky case like an otterbox. Despite being a budget option, it feels well put-together and reliable. In the end, I’m impressed by how much functionality and style they managed to pack into such an affordable keyboard.

Pros:
– Works well
– quiet keys
– key shortcuts (browser, email etc)

Cons:
– Keys feel coated in cheap material (I anticipate frequently used keys to fade fast)
– RGB colour changing function does not work or the seller is falsely advertising. (Checking other reviews other folks say the same).
– RGB will pulse or turn on/off. Does not switch between colours as advertised
