They are batteries. They work as expected. I don’t usually get single-use batteries but some devices are not happy with AA rechargeable (NiMH) since most are only 1.2V. Yes, there are Lithium alternatives (both single use as well as rechargeables) but they are still relatively expensive for what I use them in (media-pc keyboards and TV remotes). These last for a very long time and it usually takes me more than 2 years (sometimes longer) to go through a pack of 20. Shelf life is good, so even though I don’t use a lot, I have yet to encounter cells that won’t work fresh out of the pack.
For me, these have been reliable so I will stick to using them until a better alternative becomes available.
