Casio makes good quality, affordable, feature packed watches, ina number of styles and colours and this no exception. You get a bold display which is easy to read. It has date, time, stop watch, alarm, and LED light for night viewing. It has 30M of water resistance, so perfect for every day use, and even out on the lake or laps in the pool. No deep diving.
I have the casio ga-2100 (casioak) and both have resin cases and bands. This however has a smoother and harder feel to it, then the casioak, which feels silkier and softer to the touch. It feels very light on the wrist. I like that I can find new bands in a variety of colours, though they do cost about half the cost of the watch. You’ll be able to switch up the colour ways here. To note, the clasp on the back is plastic, not a metal one which over time may be more prone to breaking.
My wist is small, 6″, and I’m on the 3rd notch. It will for sure accommodate a larger wrist at 9″, and would be suitable for a teenager. Just measure.
I wish it had a timer but a set alarm works too. My only real wish is the light. It has the amber LED, and I really wish is had like a blue glow kind of light, because that would be clearer and more evenly distributed across the display.
Overall I think it’s a great value, and I’ll likely pick up a 3rd Casio of some sort to round out my mix. Maybe a silver case with a metal bracelet like the A158 or the AE-1200 often referred to as the Royale.
