I am not a gamer, so I am reviewing this Monitor as a general user who is mainly interested in photos.

I have no other monitors to jointly connect to via the Display Port, and my computer doesn’t have a Display Port socket, so I haven’t checked those aspects out.

The monitor’s 3840×2160 resolution, means that it can show all the pixels of pictures taken with an 8.3Mpixel camera. As a result, all my photos shot over the last 20 years on my old 6Mpx and 10 Mpx cameras look fantastic on this monitor – almost as if I was there now. This is much better than on my previous HD monitor. I didn’t need to adjust a single button on this monitor to achieve that startling result.

It was a slight nuisance that the monitor only came with a Display Port cable, meaning that I had to use an old HDMI cable to connect to my computer. On the other hand, that DP cable may come handy when I eventually buy a newer computer.

The oddest thing about the monitor, is that this is the first monitor I have ever had which didn’t have the control buttons and on-off button on the front face of the screen. Instead they are behind the screen. It is simple enough to reach around behind the screen to turn it off and on. But it is more awkward if one actually wants to adjust the settings via the buttons behind the monitor – though I quickly got used to it.

The first thing I had to do when I plugged in the Monitor, was to adjust the Windows Display Options and set the display to 200% of normal, so that everything looked as it had in the old Monitor.

I’ve noticed that one of the reviews of this monitor from the UK, mentions that the monitor has two small speakers. My one has no speakers – no sound comes from it. The manual also says that it has no speakers.

Thus, if one was previously using the old monitor’s speakers for sound, one would need to buy additional speakers to get sound from this computer/monitor system. I didn’t need to, as I already had separate speakers, for which I plugged their 3.5mm audio jack into the monitor (I didn’t need to, as I could have just plugged the jack into the computer itself – but that looked a bit messier).

To sum up, an excellent monitor delivering excellent results to a non-gamer like me.

Dell u2720qのサブモニターとして使っていますが、画面の起動が遅く、IPSモニターではありますが、比べると視野角が狭い気がします。まぁ、4Kの作業用として使うなら十分ですが、ゲームやイラスト製作者には向いておりません。追従速度は遅く、若干白みがかってみえるので、ただしく色が表示されてないといった感想です。

Nella descrizione sta scritto che il display ha un tempo di risposta di 4 ms. In realtà il manuale originale riporta 14 ms. Penso si tratti di un tipo vecchio di display. Inoltre non e’ fornito il manuale in italiano. Il modello aggiornato ha lo stesso problema. Le impostazioni alla massima risoluzione offrono un refresh di 30 Hz, non so se ho mancato di impostare qualcosa ma win da quel massimo. Non mi sembrea un prodotto raccomandabile.
