Does what it says it does. One thing I find annoying is that if you want to turn off the sound you have to do it every time you want to use it. If you’re in a library, when you turn it on it beeps loudly and you have to hold down the button to turn off sound. Every time. Is annoying.

The Yomvwavo Digital Cube Timer has completely changed how I manage my time, both at the office and at home. It’s so much more than a simple kitchen timer. Here’s why I love it:

The Pros:

· An Absolute Ton of Features: This is where it really shines. It’s not just a simple flip timer.
· It can count down from preset times or custom ones.
· It can count up like a stopwatch, perfect for tracking how long a task takes.
· The mute function is genius. I can use the silent flashing mode (see the video) in meetings or the library without disturbing anyone, and late night at home.
· Fully Customizable: You’re not stuck with the presets! I can set any time I want, like 6 minutes and 53 seconds for a specific interval workout or a perfect soft-boiled egg. The ability to pause and resume a timer is also a simple but vital feature that many basic timers lack.
· Boosts Productivity: By making time tangible and easy to manage, this timer has genuinely helped me focus and get more done using techniques like the Pomodoro Method, developed by Francesco Cirillo

A Small Consideration (Not Really a Con):

The device is so well-built and packed with functions that there is a slight learning curve. You’ll want to keep the manual handy for the first day to learn all the button combinations for the advanced features. However, after about 6 minutes of practice, it becomes extremely intuitive and easy to use.

Final Verdict:

This is a brilliantly designed, versatile, and high-quality timer. It’s perfect for professionals, students, fitness enthusiasts, and parents. While it requires a brief moment to learn all its capabilities, the payoff in functionality and productivity is immense. Highly recommended

Disclaimer: I’ve got pretty bad time management skills but have never put much stock in any of the productivity systems that are touted to help.

My wife is coming home after a week long trip tomorrow and this timer has kept me focused throughout the day powering through house chores while still finding time for relaxation. I’m quite surprised with how efficient this little cube has made me feel. If this pattern will hold up long term or if it’s just due to novelty remains to be seen, but I didn’t expect the house to be clean by now and actually have free time.

The flip-to-start concept is super simple. The four ‘side’ faces of the cube have 5, 10, 25, and 50 minute presets which I have learned are standard for the pomodoro technique. What makes this timer work better for me than some others like it is the progress bar that runs around the clock face in a circle. Even from across the room when I can’t read the actual numbers, I can see at a glance about how much time is left. That visual feedback keeps me moving instead of losing track.

The alarm sounds like a basic digital watch alarm and beeps for around a minute if you don’t touch it. Noticeable, but essentially the bare minimum. I’d love if it had customizable notification sounds or volume settings to make it louder but at the end of the day at this price point I’m happy they prioritized other things. Silent mode simply blinks the clock face instead. There seems to be one mistake in the current version of the product listing though, there’s no magnet anywhere on this thing nor do magnets stick to it.

If you plan to customize the timer lengths heavily, there are some quirks worth knowing from the manual I initially skipped. You need to press M+S when setting custom times or you’ll start counting up from whatever the default is for that face. Without knowing this, getting anything under 5 minutes means counting up to 99 and wrapping around. Also, only the 10-minute face remembers your custom setting after powering off. The other faces reset to defaults. Note: my video shows the 5 minute face customized to 1 second so I could demonstrate the alarm.

I haven’t been using this long enough to comment on charging frequency or battery life. At this price, this timer is a solid tool for anyone wanting to try time blocking without committing to a whole productivity philosophy.
