I purchased Webber Naturals Zinc Citrate for $9.97 CAD (about 6¢ per tablet). The citrate form is easier on the stomach and better absorbed, which is great if you’re sensitive to other types of zinc . It’s a simple once-a-day tablet in a Canada-made, gluten-free, non-GMO and vegan formula .
I’ve been using it daily, and it seems to support my immune system especially during cold season and also helps with skin healing and overall well-being . A few users mentioned minor nausea if taken without food, but taking it with a meal avoids that. Just remember zinc can affect copper levels, so monitoring intake over time is wise.

This is my preferred zinc supplement. I have tried several and decided that zinc citrate seems a bit easier on my stomach than the other types.
To be clear, I think zinc is hard on everyone’s stomach and you can solve this by taking it on a full stomach and not mixing it with a lot of other pills or vitamins.
It’s a really vital mineral, especially if you’re taking medication. Many types of medication, stress, illness etc depletes zinc and other minerals. Hairloss or skin problems are often the first sign of a deficiency and if you have a life change or start a medication and start to lose hair I seriously suggest starting zinc along with b vitamins and selenium. Look into your medication specifically and do an internet search to see if it’s likely to deplete other minerals etc as well.
I was surprised and relieved 😅
If you can drink milk, I find milk helps swallowing these pills. They aren’t as hard as many zinc pills are to swallow, but they aren’t super easy either.
Even though they are a bit difficult I give them 5 stars because if I miss a few days I notice a change in my hair and my energy that is really obvious.
Plus, zinc is just hard to take.
I don’t find that other forms help nearly as much as zinc citrate in addition and it isn’t always easy to find. Perhaps everyone is different about what form is best for them, but if so, notice what follows ‘zinc’ when you buy it.
Also, some pills negate the effects of zinc, so be very careful what you take it with. Definitely take it on a full stomach and you’ll be much happier!
Also, a ‘lozenge’ refers to the round shape of the pill, it is often used to describe something you can suck on, but it is actually a shape.
I’ve ordered these pills many times and felt a need to leave a review that corrected some of the reviews that were left with good intentions but perhaps not entirely understanding all the qualities in the description and how difficult zinc can be to take.
I have been taking this brand for years and really appreciate the quality of it.
