Not soft,not absorbent. It is durable. That’s the best thing I can say about it.

I will not be likely to buy this product again. Since my original review (text below, dated May 2023) WBM has decreased the roll size (see photograph) and encased each roll individually in plastic wrapping – not a paper overwrap – then packaged 10 plastic-wrapped rolls in a plastic sleeve (like my first, smaller purchase was packaged, but with an additional layer of plastic!) and put 3 sleeves in a box for Subscribe & Save delivery. While this packaging overkill solves the problem of loose, unprotected rolls as I criticized previously, it utterly flies in the face of supposed environmental sustainability. Furthermore, with the rolls approximately 1/3 smaller (and lasting 1 day less on average in my household) it is no longer an economical choice among sustainable TP products, so I will be looking for a different brand.

I wish this company would get its packaging act together, as the quality of the paper itself remains high and the shrinkflation factor alone would not prohibit my buying it. But when plastic overpackaging makes a complete joke of its supposed sustainability, what’s the point of paying more?

Original review: No issues with the product itself – it does everything it needs to do. It’s a strong, fairly thick two-ply paper, and is not “fluffy” or “cloudlike” or however other TP manufacturers like to characterize their product. Yet its texture is not at all rough on the skin. It does not leave behind irritating fluff, lint or paper dust during normal use, and it contains no irritating bleaching chemicals. In short, it’s an environmentally sustainable alternative to bleached paper product that works and is comfortable to use. I dinged it two stars only because of inadequate packaging. When I first ordered it as a 10-pack, it arrived in a sturdy waterproof plastic sleeve. Satisfied with the product, I switched to a larger package (30 rolls) that was available through Subscribe & Save. Unlike the packaging pictured, after my initial S&S delivery two subsequent shipments have been sent with 30 unwrapped rolls tossed in a non-weatherproofed Amazon cardboard delivery box. On a sunny day that’s fine, but should there be precipitation on delivery day this packaging is simply inadequate, as any paper product would likely become water-damaged and non-usable very quickly. While I appreciate the seller’s attempt not to use unnecessary packaging, in the case of paper goods that may be left by a driver at an open-air walkway or doorway and sit for hours before someone is at home to bring them inside, some form of weatherproof packaging really IS a necessity.

Though smaller than most rolls (and most are since Covid), it is a really great product!
