Look at your toilet to see if the handle is in front or on side. Doesn’t make clear on packaging. Ordered wrong, and had to reorder. Also box stores do not have decent side handles. Side model when installed a little loose, but it flushes okay. All toilets are a little different.

It may fit most toilets, but it did not fit a side-handle Kohler. It comes reverse threaded for some reason. The rubber gasket did not fit, but I had an older one that did. The rod had to be bent to meet clearances. You won’t need a machine shop to make this “universal” handle fit, but it would help. You have been warned!

Installed in old Kohler toilet in 5 minutes (side mount handle); solved problem with the existing handle assembly keeping the tank shutoff thingy from shutting off the water flow; it was sticking, the handle bar was too thick. This new one is just a metal bar bent in the proper configuration, simple and easy.
