I didn’t need anything huge or fancy, just something that would reliably heat up my leftovers without sounding like an air-raid siren. What I Love (The Best Parts):

The Mute Button is a Game Changer: This is, without a doubt, my favorite feature. A simple long-press of the “8” button, and the microwave goes into silent mode. No more waking up my partner with a series of earth-shattering BEEP-BEEP-BEEPs when I’m making tea early in the morning. It’s a small feature that shows Toshiba was actually thinking about how people live.

Heats Food Evenly: You know the classic microwave experience: a plate of pasta that’s molten lava on the edges and an ice cube in the center. I haven’t had that problem with this one. It seems to heat things through much more consistently.

Bright LED Light Inside: I can actually see my food while it’s cooking! The interior light is a bright, clean LED, which means I can spot a bowl of soup about to boil over before it creates a disaster zone. It’s a huge improvement over the dim, yellowy bulb in my old one.

ECO Mode is a Nice Touch: When you’re not using it, you can turn the clock display off completely. It saves a tiny bit of energy, but more importantly, it means one less glowing clock face lighting up my kitchen in the middle of the night.

Looks Sharp: For a compact, affordable microwave, it looks surprisingly sleek. The stainless steel fits in well with my other appliances and doesn’t scream “budget model.”

What to Keep in Mind (The “Coins”):

It’s Compact: The 0.9 cubic feet interior is perfect for me—it fits a full-sized dinner plate, a bag of popcorn, or a large mug with no problem. However, if you have a large family or you’re used to cooking big casserole dishes in your microwave, you might find this a little snug. Check your dish sizes before you buy.

Fingerprint City: That beautiful stainless steel finish is, unsurprisingly, a magnet for fingerprints. It’s nothing a quick wipe with a microfiber cloth can’t fix, but it’s something you’ll be doing often if you want it to stay looking pristine.

Overall Impression:

It’s not trying to be a convection oven or an air fryer; it’s just a fantastic, well-designed microwave that nails the fundamentals. The thoughtful features like the sound-off function and the bright interior light solve the little daily annoyances that most of us just assume we have to live with. If you’re looking for a solid, compact microwave that’s a pleasure to use, I’d recommend this one.

It’s on the smaller side and I like that – perfect for a tiny kitchen. It’s working well so far. I also like that it’s very easy to clean. Just hope it lasts.

My old microwave stopped working completely and too old to repair. This one arrived the next day. Very stylish look! Manufacture date: Aug 2025. Very freshly made. No concerns on quality so far! Good for 1-2 persons or small counter space. The inner light is white rather than warm, not very used to it but I guess it doesn’t matter.
