I simply cannot give this product a very high rating … for a couple of specific reasons.

The first is that I wanted to use these seat bumper on an ‘add-on’ bidet … one that causes the seat to rest a little higher on the toilet than the seat would normally sit.

For this type of application, the Tinoaly doesn’t work all that well because the sizing doesn’t really work out.

There are only two of the thicker variety included in the package … when I need a minimum of 3 to work (one in the middle and one on each side). Even then, the thicker piece wasn’t thick enough to get the job done so I had to ‘double-up’ the bumper by adding a thinner piece onto the thicker piece. Of course, since there are only two thicker pieces, I had to ‘triple-up’ by putting three thinner pieces together to build a third usable bumper.

So … while this assembly is fairly easy to accomplish, and it does raise the bumper to an acceptable level, it is a bit of extra effort that shouldn’t be necessary.

The second problem is with the adhesive on the bumpers. While the adhesive does an okay job of sticking the bumpers to one another (at least in the week or so I’ve been using the product), I noticed that the adhesive doesn’t stick all that well to the seat itself when the lid is lifted.

Granted, this adhesion issue is one that exists with every replacement bumper I’ve tried, but I had hoped for something a little more firm.

I do like the cushy-like material of the bumpers … that allows the seat to be lowered a little nicer and supplies a little ‘given’ when sitting on the seat. So, from that perspective, these bumpers are somewhat superior to the hard plastic bumpers I’ve used before. And the construction of the pieces seem to be decent enough from a durability standpoint so that is also a plus.

Overall, though, I would rate these bumpers as being fairly ‘average’ … I do think that they don’t work all that well when used to build up a toilet seat for a bidet but also think that they would work fine in a situation where replacement bumpers are needed for non-bidet applications. As for adhesion … they work about as well, at least not any worse, that other bumpers I’ve tried in the past.

Does not stay on surface. Sticky back does not hold
