More than I expected! I bought them so I can build up my at home gym to cut costs of having a gym membership. I weighed them and I got a little more than 10 lbs in total. The strap itself is very light, so I know that the sand bags were filled just a little more to ensure quality! I use them on my wrists and my ankles. I also use them like a kettle bell when I’m doing certain exercises. Very versatile, and good for a newbie like me.

Looks well made. I like the flexibility to add/remove weight. Pinching the sides of the sand bag together, so there is a dimple in the middle (per one of the videos), makes it easier to insert the bags. Only time will tell how long the velcro will last. Fits my ankles nicely but then mine are slim. The neoprene makes it comfortable to wear. Overall, I’m happy with this purchase. 5 lb x 2 weights.

I’ve only had this ankle weight set a few days but no big complaints. They’re well made and feel durable.
The little weight pouches are a bit tricky to slide in and out of the pockets but I found if I flatten them as much as possible beforehand it’s a bit easier. (The sand in the pouches tends to gather at the bottom as they’re being used, which is understandable, so they become bulkier at the bottom making them harder to remove if you don’t try to even out the distribution of sand first).
The Velcro is super heavy duty and will damage some fabrics if the rough side of the strap comes into contact with it. My workout shorts and tee-shirt were both “frizzed” where one of the straps accidentally latched on to them while trying to remove a few of the weight pouches (the set is shipped with the pouches pre-inserted).
They’re larger than other sets I’ve used over the years so a smaller person might find them a bit unwieldy once fastened around their ankles and it took me a few workouts to get used to the extra bulk. I guess the extra size is necessary to accommodate the weight pouches.
Verdict: If you don’t mind the extra bulk and have the patience for getting the pouches in and out, you will likely appreciate this great set of ankle weights.
