After using this camera for a while now I feel it has a number of good points that are somewhat dulled by its shortcomings. The camera comes with a large and impressive assortment of accessories including a waterproof housing for the detachable camera. The removable camera is a great feature that makes getting some interesting and unique shots possible or just easier when compared to traditional action cameras. The clip mount makes this a breeze as you can cip it on to the top, bottom or side of any number of things and get a different view point without the time consuming setting up of a mount on a difficult surface. The wireless handle let’s you view the feed from the camera without needing to open an app or fiddle with your phone. The camera has some downsides and shortcoming that are disappointing however. The in ability to set camera settings manually means you’ll often capture video at less than ideal shutter speeds. The stabilization is also a weak point when compared to the competition. Combined with the lack of setting options you tend to get much more shaky footage than would be ideal which is also hard to eliminate in software because the frames themselves aren’t clear as they could be. There is also a pretty bad rolling shutter that gives footage shot with a significant amount of movement a pronounced jello effect. With these issues known about its possible to minimize or mitigate the effects in footage to some degree. The lack of an option to record in LOG is also a limitation for me but an understandable one that isn’t too big of an issue. The battery life is okay but I have mostly used it with the camera detached from the handle which no doubt drains battery quicker due to the wireless connection. When attached to the base I believe it’s much better from what I have experienced. I have found a lot of uses for this camera that my other action cameras simply won’t work for. The light weight and small size combined with the clip mount allow footage that I can’t get with any of the other cameras I own. This has been a positive addition to my arsenal even with the shortcomings it has. I’ve been impressed with the usefulness of the camera and it’s unique design and features.

Plus, the white finish gives it a sleek, modern aesthetic that looks great on camera if you’re filming yourself in a mirror or reflection.

Waterproofing is usually where these modular cameras get finicky, but I had zero anxiety taking this near the surf. With the waterproof body and case setup, it feels robust enough to handle a dunk, opening up a whole new world of underwater filming without needing a bulky dedicated rig. The inclusion of the 64GB card right in the box was a nice touch, letting me start recording immediately without rummaging through my desk for spare storage. It creates a seamless “grab and go” experience that is rare in the tech world these days.

The battery life, however, is the absolute standout feature.
