I think this is one of the best whey protein powders I’ve used so far. I prefer the vanilla flavour because it isn’t too strong compared to the chocolate version. Instead of milk, I use oat milk with no added sugar. My coach told me to drink this 30 minutes before or after my training session.

The powder does clump if not mixed very well, so I use either a blender or a milk frother.

I chose this product because:

– contains 30 grams of protein per serving
– only 2 grams of sugar per serving
– 2.5 grams of total fat per serving
– uses a whey protein blend
– includes Vitamin C and Zinc

Sixstar provides good value for this protein powder.

The scoop provided is larger than other powders, so the “30g per scoop” is misleading, if you’re comparing to other whey products, which are normally 24g per scoop. Hilarious for them to make their scoop bigger, great marketing scheme.

Taste is a 7/10 – not overly sweet which is great, but it does have a bit of a chemical taste in comparison to other more expensive brands.

For the sake of comparison, I would rate Diesel, Optimum, and Isoflex as better tasting protein powders, and Revolution Nutrition just slightly better tasting (more sweet, however). All of these brands are more expensive, and the flavour of Sixstar is acceptable.

Digestibility is 10/10 – no issues whatsoever with stomach/gut irritability at the recommended dose. If you are switching to this product from another brand, I would ease into it, just to make sure.

Mixability is also great- 10/10 in a blender with frozen fruit/yogurt/water. The powder appears fluffy and gritty, however it has no issues being mixed. It also provides a slightly thick shake, with no clumping or grittiness.

Overall, I would rate this just slightly below Revolution Nutrition’s product. Completely acceptable for supplementing protein, and at a very nice price. Thanks Sixstar and Amazon!!
