It needs some modifications: 1. the steering link teeth does not contact the front motor sprocket properly – I have to raise it a bit using foam double-sided tape. 2. the front motor tends to slide forward despite the motor mount, again fixed with tape. 3. My biggest complaint is the self-centering works quite poorly: I have to use thinner gauge rubber bands attached from the two ends of the front bumper directly to the front suspension to make it work. Other than that, it was fun to build and it is prone to tail-spin (not real drifting) in a fun way. Since steering and throttle are both “all or none”, it is not easy to drive, and if you keep hitting obstacles, I think this thing will not take a lot of damage.

Normalerweise schreibe ich keine Rezensionen, aber der Bausatz ist echt mega. Mein 6 jähriger hat ihn fast alleine zusammen gebaut. Hier und da musste ich nur mal bei einer Schraube helfen und mir der Video Aufbauanleitung, die man sich auf YouTube zusätzlich ansehen kann geht’s echt leicht. Er ist unglaublich schnell und mein Sohn hat riesen Spaß daran. Er ist ein absoluter RC Car Fan. Ersatzteile sind auch viel dabei. Kann ich wirklich nur empfehlen. Absolut toll.

We’ve gotten quite a few of these stem kit vehicle things and the quality varies. This one was a huge success. It is intricate and a little delicate to put together (my fifth grader did it in one sitting just fine but not sure he would have had the patience a few years ago) but they include lots of duplicate pieces (I mean lots!) in case any get lost or broken. And the final result is excellent – this thing steers, goes in reserve as well as forward over carpet and really is pretty fast! We’re very happy especially for the price.
