It depends on your needs, but it solved the problem with a low-flow toilet downstairs in the basement. A perfect fit, no leaks and readustable. Packaging is a little cheap and flimsy, but it’s worth it. It’s ten times better than the Fluidmaster (can’t be repositioned because of the cheap spacer).

This is a GREAT product for the DIYer installing a toilet. Bees wax rings have always been sketchy in terms of consistently providing a good toilet-to-floor seal. This product is easy to use, no mess, and consistently provides an excellent seal. I have used this product on three different toilets in recent years with 100% effective results. Good to see technology finally evolving beyond bees wax!

This product offers a hassle-free solution compared to traditional wax rings. The installation process was incredibly simple—no messy wax to deal with, and it was easy to reposition the toilet when needed.
It created a tight, reliable seal, and I’ve had zero issues with leaks. I especially appreciate that it’s reusable, which adds great value if you need to reset or adjust the toilet later. This gasket saved me time, effort, and cleanup. Overall, it’s an outstanding product for anyone doing a toilet installation or repair.

No messy gross wax shmegma all over the place like with the old wax rings. Very easy to use and took the anxiety away from “I have one shot at this, god I hope I get it right” with a wax ring. I also used it with the SetFast brand toilet flange bolts that automatically adjust the height down while tightening the bowl down saving me having to cut the flange bolts. What a perfect drama free installation (I am very proud of myself btw if you can’t tell lol)
And yes I have seen the photos of these deteriorating after a few years but they were a different design with a couple inch horn going down the middle. This 2 inch inner horn was achieved by an outer layer of PU (polyurethane) fused to the inner foam bit, this is NO longer part of the design. No horn, no outer layer, no separation issues from what the manufacturer said when asked about the product no longer having an inner horn piece.
If I ever have an issue or have to pull the toilet I will update my review with photos if needed.

Over a decade ago when I needed to replace my toilet seals, my choices were wax rings and Sani-Seal (SS, henceforth). It was easy to install, but I recently came across reviews questioning SS’ durability and that made me wonder what was going on with my installations. I pulled the first toilet to find that the SS appeared visually functional. Physically, however, it was saturated with fluid. The gunk on the bolts and caps spoke to how the now-oversaturated SS had begun to ooze fluid when the membrane sealing the foam had failed. Interestingly, I had installed the SS unconventionally, but I don’t remember why. This upside-down orientation might have given me a few extra years of use based on where the membrane had failed. I then pulled the second toilet to find that its SS had not experienced membrane failure, even though I had installed it sixteen months before the failed one. Rather than the difference in orientation, I believe that the failure of the newer SS was due to a defect in the membrane.
In addition to the less-than-lifetime durability, I am not a fan of the current-generation’s “shortened extension”. The longer sleeve in the first-generation SS was one of the two features that attracted me.
It’s awesome that in 2024 there is a wide assortment of waxless seals. This time, my goal was to find one that 1) doesn’t use foam and 2) is a one-piece design. Many designs stack separate layers of mixed materials to accommodate flanges that are below the floor, which is the case for both of my toilets. Water has a way of seeping past layers, given sufficient pressure (as when plunging). Therefore, I avoided the offerings from Danco, Fluidmaster, Korky, and Reliabilt. After purchasing the Fernco FTS-3 and One-N-Done T10-OND-200-DS, I settled on the latter. If the OND had not met my expectations, I would have settled for the second-generation SS and set a reminder to check them after five years.
It’s not realistic to believe that any toilet seal would last anyone’s lifetime. Why does the company continue to advertise a lifetime warranty? Maybe SS would have sent me a free replacement for the failed SS. There’s not an easy way to determine the likely limited benefits of this warranty because their Contact Us feature on their website is broken.
