This rack works as intended; I appreciate its versatility and its unique ability to be utilized over the sink.

The rack has adjustable support arms so it is compatible with a wide variety of sink sizes. The silverware holder is also moveable and can be placed either sitting inside the rack or hanging over the edge almost anywhere on the perimeter (excluding where the arms are attached and the side where the cup hooks are). I initially utilized the silverware holder on the outside of the rack and it was sturdy with no bowing even when full of silverware. I also have a sponge holder that sits inside my sink so I ultimately chose to keep the silverware holder on the rack itself to keep at least one side of the sink totally clear. The rack also has little feet so it can be used on the counter top as well, but I love that keeping over the sink saves my counter from the dripping water.

Conversely, the hooks on the side that are intended for cups do not stick out as far as shown in the product photos. Because of this, only thin cups can be placed on them. The two on the edges overlap with the support arms also, which limits those two hooks even further. I don’t find them very functional for that reason and I’d prefer they weren’t there so I could put the silverware holder there.

If you have a larger family, like I do, this rack is not large enough to accommodate all of the dishes throughout the day long enough for them to air dry. Because of this, I tend to wash in batches, towel drying between full racks of dishes.

Overall, it functions as intended and is very easy to use. It’s very versatile, with moderate dish capacity.

I am fundamentally lazy about doing things just to hasten what would happen naturally – in other words, I don’t like to dry my dishes when they will naturally dry if left out. This used to mean that I would annoyingly have a drying mat next to the sink, and air circulation is not so great around those mats so things didn’t dry very fast. This rack has been a great addition – all the water drips into the sink, and there is plenty of air circulation, so everything dries. It isn’t huge by any means – this isn’t going to hold all your dishes after cooking and eating a meal for four, but for me, has allowed me to recover some major countertop real estate and I’ve gotten a lot better about washing the dishes and putting them away. When I do have a larger load of dishes to wash, I’ll either use the dishwasher to clean them, or I’ll use the (empty/clean) dishwasher as my drying rack.
