I’d love to say that these were fresh, tasty, enjoyable and worth buying. Unfortunately, none of these apply. The bag I received possibly had been driven over by a large truck, or perhaps used to prop up some heavy object. About 1/3 of the contents were a layer of powder in the bottom, about 1-1/2 inches deep. The bag was not punctured, but it looked as if it had seen some hard miles, and likewise the condition of the contents showed this. The “intact pieces” (using the term loosely) were covered in fine white powder. The pieces tasted very, very stale. Hard as oak, dry, and not appetizing. “Ancient” would describe it. The inner filling of the individual pieces had the texture of drywall compound lumps baked in the sun for a few weeks. One piece cracked so sharply that I thought I’d broken a tooth (fortunately not).
Considering the high cost of this package (1.36 kilograms – 3 pounds for my U.S. friends), it was a terrible purchase. About 2/3 of it ended up in the trash, except a cupful or so of the ‘dust’ that I dumped on a dandelion patch, hoping it might choke them out. It’s still there – of no interest to passing dogs, birds or insects. I am very disappointed with this product. Given the cost I’m also annoyed. If considering buying this “bulk bag,” my advice is “Run Away!”
