High protein content and tastes delicious!

I ordered the cookies and cream flavour and the bag was small and inexpensive which is perfect when you don’t want to commit to a big tub. The flavour was nice, definitely on the sweeter side and flavour wise, to me it kinda just tasted like vanilla. Which was fine because vanilla makes a great base for various flavour options. This goes very well with PB and I also tried adding strawberries for an PB&J inspired shake. The mix-ability is great but I only used my blender so I couldn’t say how well it mixes in a blender bottle (though based on its texture I think it would mix just as well). I’m fairly new to protein powders so I’m no expert but in comparison to other brands I’ve looked at, the protein to sugar-carbs-fat ratio is pretty good. I’m on a Bariatric high protein only diet so keeping those low is important. While I do prefer to use stevia sweetened products when I can, Sucralose isn’t the worst artificial sweetener at least and at this price point I wouldn’t expect Stevia anyway.

The only “issues” I had were: no digestive enzymes – at least from what I can tell from the ingredients. I do think digestive enzymes are important because whey can often kill your stomach. Luckily I didn’t have any issues with digestion but after a few months of drinking whey, I imagine my stomach has built a bit of a tolerance. I wouldn’t want to try this if I were just starting out with whey though. The bag; I was happy they offered a zip top bag but sadly this tore the first time I opened it so I had to clip it closed, defeating the purpose. I am still happy I could store it in my cupboard instead of on the fridge like those huge tubs though, so all in all it’s not a huge deal.

I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who has some experience with whey proteins and is looking to save some money or try the flavour before committing to more.

I’m gonna be honest, I bought this because I needed something reasonably priced that shipped immediately, and my usual brand didn’t have any options that fit that need.

Turns out, it’s actually perfect! It’s delicious, it blends up better in my blender bottle than anything else I’ve used, goes down easy, and there’s no aftertaste or digestive issues. I’ll absolutely be buying more of it when I run out!
