OXO Good Grips Hideaway Compact Toilet Brush

We don’t think much about buying toilet brushes. But it is one of important for a well cleaned toilet. I like the bristle construction of OXO. Strong bristles, well spaced, cleans & scrubs right up under ridge, around bowl, and deep within. They sell just refills where most companies don’t. Cheaper instead of replacing unit if still in good shape. Like having the bristles covered when and not showing or sitting in water. Door opens to pull brush out to use. Closes when brush is put back in and it closes all the way. Bottom is designed to let excess water evaporate so not mess and no soggy brush. Easy to clean bottom. Excellent design & worth the price.

Having used a silicone brush for some time, decided to go back to a bristle brush, as it seems to make a better job. Like this model, as it hygienically closes over the brush when not in use. The handle is also much superior to others because it is easier to grip, and longer.

It feels strange to be reviewing a toilet brush, but this is one of the more “attractive” brush and canister sets out there. It blends well with our decor and is reasonably unobtrusive. It’s also a good brush that works well and is likely to last. In general, I feel that OXO products are well designed and work the way they’re supposed to.

I had previously used a toilet brush with a stainless steel handle from Costco and unfortunately the handle got rusty and gross right away. I couldn’t keep it in my bathroom because it looked disgusting. With this new one it is all plastic, eliminating the rust issue, and it does a great job scrubbing the toilet while also looking clean and compact when not in use. The closing and opening holder that is triggered by the pressure of the brush works great and looks nice.
