We adopted a 16lb 7 year old cat and we didn’t know what kind of eating habits that he had. The guy likes to eat, period!

A 16 lb cat can, and will eat a lot and this immediately became an issue for us. We wanted something with natural ingredients and a best value for price per unit, to stretch our dollar.

Previous foods he kept craving and whining for, telling me that there was something that was triggering his reward and compulsive centers that kept him meowing all hours for more in his bowl.

With this brand, we feed him between 3/4 cup to 1 cup per day, once in the morning, and it sustains him until the next day.

We are on par to get 2.5 months out of this 14lb bag which breaks down to $0.48 a day. Thats a good value in my book.

Lastly, his stool. He has a habit of not covering his litter and while on other foods, there was a terribly foul odor coming from his pans. He still doesnt cover his litter, but since switching, we no longer wake up to a foul smell encompassing the entire first floor. Rather, a smell, coming from his litter box area.

I have always fed nutros pet food. My cat Sir El Capitano Princeton loves his chow. Just wish the bags were larger.

Our cat has eaten nothing but NUTRO WHOLESOME ESSENTIALS CHICKEN for most of his life. He absolutely loves it, and has remained healthy and playful for his 7 years. While he does also eat SAFE CATCH tuna / salmon on a daily basis, NUTRO dry food is his go-to, all-day food. There were spans of months / years when NUTRO was his only food, and he thrived. Great product. It’s the highest fiber and protein that I’ve been able to find. One of my cats actually picks out this one from my mix (I combine 2 brands) I created to help my wallet. I can get the smaller But to in my local grocery store and being able to get the big bad delivered to my door is awesome.

I love this product. My cat likes this product. The smell of it is nothing pungent, it’s really not that bad. The ease of use because I luckily got the bag that has a resealable port before they did the switch is very good. I unfortunately ordered it way too late because they switched the design of the bag and now I wish I can find more of the resealable. I cannot attest to the coat shine as her coat has always looked good. The value of money is great for this as I told my Vet this is what I’m feeding my cat and I got a look of approval. I have no clue how it tastes since I do not eat it, but it does not upset her stomach. The longevity of it in the resealable bag design is perfect, I can provide no input for the new design that is not resealable and I do not like it. I still wish they had the old design as I just found this for my cat but I’m happy I at least got the one bag. So now when I get a new bag, I just pour it in the resealable one.

We have used Nutro brand cat food for our pets for years, and have been very happy with the health of our cats. They have soft shiny fur, bright eyes and lots of energy. It’s excellent quality food.
