I’m giving these 4.5 out of 5 stars. The first thing I noticed when I tried Nature’s Bounty Gentle Iron was that it truly lived up to its name; after struggling with prescribed iron supplements that gave me serious stomach issues and constipation, I was honestly skeptical that any iron pill could be this gentle, but this one caused no digestive distress whatsoever, which is a huge pro and a massive relief for anyone with a sensitive gut. A lot of people, myself included, have noticed a real boost in energy and their lab results actually improving, likely because it’s a good form of iron that includes Vitamin C and B12 for better absorption. The main con I’ve encountered, and what keeps it just shy of a perfect five, is that the capsules are a little on the larger side, which can be annoying to swallow sometimes. Also, if you need a very high-dose prescription iron, this 28 mg supplement might be too low, but for maintaining good levels or slowly raising mild deficiency, it’s perfect. I recommend this especially to women and anyone who has given up on traditional iron pills because of the side effects; this is absolutely my go-to now.
