Premium looking with nice design touches like the cloth tag and textured surface. Small and completely silent. Setup was a breeze since Windows already comes installed. No need to open up the unit and mess with any components. Runs Google Chrome / Netflix / Youtube smoothly without stuttering or skipping. Overall, great performance for the asking price and an excellent companion for your living room TV.

This MeLe PCG02 Pro mini PC performs well for its small size. Set up was easy. It allowed me to create a local account and not have to connect to WiFi or sign in to Microsoft first. It runs Windows 11 Pro.

I took a look inside and the memory or storage of this mini PC is not expandable. I guess that makes sense for its size, and having no internal fan, but it would be nice if it was possible. At least there is a microSD card slot and the card sits flush inside.

Note the mini PC needs to be plugged in to work. There’s no built in battery. A USB-C power adapter is included.

I have tried powering this mini PC with a 20000+mAh power bank and it worked. I didn’t use it for long, but it’s nice to know there’s a way to make this mini PC portable. Of course, you will still need a monitor, mouse, and keyboard. The power bank also powered the portable monitor.

Mele.cn comes bookmarked in Edge. I was browsing with multiple tabs in Edge and the mini PC would get very warm. But the performance was still good. Watching videos on YouTube, Netflix, Prime, and listening to music all worked fine. Internet connectivity is good. The computer could find and connect to 2.4 and 5GHz wifi. There’s an ethernet slot if needed. I only tried it out for transferring files between computers and it worked well.

I did have some problems with some program installations. Well, not really. There were pop up error messages about installation, but I could just continue and it would work.

I tested apps like Minecraft, DaVinci Resolve, and Krita. Minecraft Java Edition was laggy and choppy especially in the beginning when the world was loading up. It’s still playable and you can turn down the video settings for better performance. I was able to install DaVinci and do some light editing. It was usable, though I wasn’t using large files and a lot of effects. I may do some more with it later on. I connected a drawing tablet to this mini PC to draw on Krita. It worked fine with this drawing app.

The PCG02 Pro has a usb-c port for power and an SS usb-c port. The SS usb-c port unfortunately cannot transmit video. I tried it with a usb-c monitor and it was only able to power the monitor. You will have to use HDMI, but at least there are two HDMI ports.

Even so, I would not power the usb-c monitor with the mini PC as there were issues. The monitor was working fine, powered by the mini PC and connected with HDMI, until I started playing audio. The display and audio would cut in and out. Maybe the mini PC doesn’t provide enough power. Using an external power source for the monitor is better.

The PCG02 Pro can be mounted and includes a VESA mounting plate and screws. It’s a good idea to mount this PC since it’s very light and small and can be easily pulled around by the cables. The mounting plate ensures the mini PC does not touch my monitor when mounted, which is good for heat dissipation. And the mini PC can get pretty warm when in use.

The casing of the Mele PC has a rough texture. It’s a nice kind of rugged look, but it dug a little into and scratched my monitor’s leather case.

Overall, the MeLe PCG02 Pro is a great mini PC for its size. It could work as a media box and mini work PC for writing and answering emails, basic tasks. Plus, casual gaming is possible.

Actually not bad for a windows fanless PC. The CPU was release in Q1 of 2023 and it contain only 4 efficiency core. The CPU idle clock speed is 100Mhz and it can ramp up to 3.40 GHz. At idle, the system consume around 8W and it can go up to 21W under load. This being said, it can’t really run any modern game properly. Even some less demanding game will suffer from stutter and FPS dropping to an unplayable level. Games that are 15 years old and more will play great. This PC is also able to handle retro console emulation pretty well. I was able to run everything from the Atari to the Wii U without any problem. PS2 emulation was actually surprisingly good. I really didn’t thought it would be able to handle that.

This PC is best suited for light computing task such as a Media Center with Plex, a Point of Sale, a thin client or even a machine for e-mails and web browsing. The best aspect is that this PC is fanless. Prior to this, I had a mini PC with a Celeron N5105. The N100 CPU is pretty much better in every way. My Celeron N5105 Mini PC wasn’t fanless. It wasn’t loud but I could hear it and it was very annoying when ever the fan ramp up. Having tried both CPU, I would rather pay more to get a N100 based PC.

In term of connectivity and expandability, this Mini PC is very minimalistic. It has 2 HDMI Port that can output 4k@60, 2 USB-A port, 2 USB-C port, 1 Gigabit Ethernet and 1 Headphone Jack. The USB ports are version 3.2. There is 8GB of LPDDR4x @ 4266MHz of Ram. This is not the fastest memory nor the highest capacity the N100 can support. Also note that the N100 only support Single-Channel memory so the use of LPDDR4x won’t significantly hinder GPU performance. After a clean boot, there is 4.35GB available. In term of SSD, there is 256GB. Both the RAM and SSD can’t be upgraded. The integrated GPU is the Intel UHD Graphics 730. This is a modest GPU even in Intel’s line up. Some Intel Desktop parts comes with the UHD Graphics 750.

Over all, it’s a well balanced system but it’s not the best the N100 platform can offer. It’s still good for lighter task. I’m using mine as a Plex Media Center. It’s perfectly capable and it’s silent. I’m also a big fan of the lower power consumption

Portable and compact appearance.This computer is very suitable for traveling, the compact size and powerful features are just what I need, I can easily put it in my luggage, and it does not take up too much space. When camping, I can also use it to play movies and music, it is really convenient.

J’ai pris cet ordinateur pour la dissipation thermique passive. L’ordinateur ne fait pas un bruit.
Il est dans mon salon installé avec un Proxmox pour héberger des VM ça tourne très bien.

Windows 11 fonctionne très bien. Il est fourni avec l’ordinateur par défaut mais ne m’intéresse pas.
