Lynna –
I don’t have a lab to analyze these and prove that they’re sterling silver, but they look like it, and they’re stamped 925. With that the value for the price is much better than that of a lot of the competing brands. The cold metal feels really soothing on sore nipples, and it helps keep whatever nipple cream/breastmilk/etc you apply on your nipples rather than having it immediately rub off onto a shirt or bra. They aren’t prominent under clothing, especially if your bra is padded at all. They are lightweight and fairly generously sized; I am on the larger side and these work perfectly for me.
The Andersons –
These silver nursing cups work exactly as described and feel well made. They arrived nicely packaged and come with a small pouch, which makes them easy to store or carry when on the go. The cups appear to be the material advertised, are not overly thick, and are comfortable to wear throughout the day. They do run a bit on the smaller side, but they’re still usable for most sizes and sit discreetly under most clothing clothing. Overall, they feel practical, thoughtfully designed, and easy to incorporate into a breastfeeding routine.
The Andersons –
These are great .925 silver nip covers for moms like me who are still bf and combo feeding. I put these on in between pumping and breastfeeding whenever I get the downtime or when my nips feel really cracked and sore and this helps so much. You don’t need to use lanolin or anything and can just place these over with a few drops of the liquid gold to help it stay on.
Overall highly recommend if any bf mom doesn’t have a set of silver nip shields and these are great to start off with. The shape is pretty average and all inclusive. I use 24mm and these are pretty much spot on and have really good coverage for most mamas that fit around that range and are comfortable with silver nip shields.
MustangAnge –
There’s nothing “wrong” with these silver cups, but they aren’t as good as others I’ve tried.
I find the metal on these to be much thinner than similar products. It doesn’t decrease from functionality, but I fear that with extended use these will start becoming misshapen.
I have other options for nipple pain – thicker cups, cups with vents, beeswax shields – but what I find equally effective at providing protection is nipple cream and reusable breast pads. They provide some extra cushion and, for the most part, using enough nipple cream keeps the nipple from getting stuck to the pad.
That being said, typically cups offer a stronger barrier, which comes with your nipples looking huge since shields can’t easily be concealed. I find all of them end up leaving my nipples looking wet and kind of gross (ones with vents did not work any better).
Still, if you’re in the market for silver cups these are fine, but I feel like there are sturdier options (equally priced) out there.
MustangAnge –
Silver nursing cups were a lifesaver with my first baby and I ordered these because I’m expecting again and managed to misplace all my old ones!
These are lightweight and very discreet – I like to wear a lightly padded bralette that I just pull down instead of a nursing bra, and you can’t tell I’m wearing the cups at all. No pointy Madonna cone boobs unless I’m wearing a stretchy sports or nursing bra with no padding. And you really can’t feel them aside from the cooling relief when you first put them on.
I will say that I was expecting them to come with a little drawstring storage bag as shown in the product images at the time that I ordered, but the bag that came with mine is just open at the top with no drawstring. They’re very easy to lose, so do yourself a favor and find a designated spot to keep them AND get yourself a few spare pairs!
Lynna –
Not exactly sure, but something doesn’t fully sit right with me about these. Compared to other brands I have, these immediately felt a little off. They honestly feel like they’re plastic, and so thin that even my husband asked if they were actual metal at all, compared to my others. While thin can be looked at as “comfortable” and potentially make them easier to wear and feel like “nothing is there”.. they just feel TOO thin. The “storage bag” is extremely cheap and rough and doesn’t have a drawstring, so they fall out easily and can’t really be kept securely in it. The info card that comes with these is extremely difficult to read, the way it’s printed.. so presentation-wise, it looks sloppy unfortunately. – Functionality wise, I haven’t been wowed.. though of course anything you place over that area will prevent rubbing of clothing on your sensitive areas which is helpful. To each their own, but I just don’t prefer these over other pairs I have.

I bought these M7G silver nursing cups for my wife to have on hand as she prepares for breastfeeding. While she hasn’t had the chance to use them just yet, the build quality is impressive and they feel very sturdy and well-made. After doing a lot of research on breastfeeding essentials, we decided on these because they are 925 silver and nickel-free, which gives us peace of mind regarding skin sensitivity. They are much smoother and more substantial than I expected, and they come in a nice little storage pouch that makes them easy to pack in the hospital bag. We are hoping these will provide the natural relief everyone talks about and help her avoid the mess of creams and balms when the time comes. It feels like a high-quality “insurance policy” for her comfort, and we’re glad to have them ready to go.
