Great upgrade from a 27 Acer (none curved) 100hz – Use the DISPLAY PORT Cable provided to get 180hz refresh rate – makes such a difference. Absolutely turn off the Sleep Mode otherwise it takes ages to re establish internet connection (wireless). Very nice monitor plenty bright and decent pixel display resolution as promised. Running with Windows 11 on Ryzen 7 5700 / GeForce RTX3050/6GB system

Very dark when nothing showing on Monitor, Bought 2 of those as side monitors to a AW3225qf and I’m not shy of them at all, great color balancing, great darks A++

I have only had this monitor a few days but the more I tweak the settings and get it to where i want it,the better it gets.I previously had an AOC monitor,same size and pretty much the same specs,but it gave out after only a little over five years.So I thought,I need to try a different brand.
Here’s some little things you should know about the LG/helpful hints:
1)There is no light at the bottom of the monitor to show you its on or off.
2)When pressing the button on the monitors’ underbelly to change settings(which gets easy quite fast) you will hear an annoying beep,beep.Look around in there and you will see a way of shutting it off.FYI there is no software to install to be able to adjust settings through that like some other brands.
3)And speaking of beeping,when the monitor shuts down up will pop on the screen something to the effect that there’s no power and the monitor will go into sleep mode(It only lasts about 10-12 seconds then goes out).If you don’t get that beeping shut off it will sound once again to annoy the heck out of you until the pop up disappears.So shut it off!!!!!(lol)
4)The specs say this monitor has a refresh rate of 180khz.NOT SO! It has a refresh rate of 179.97….I kid you not.I guess LG figured who is going to kick for a measly .03% less refresh rate.And they’re right.
5)Finally this is the first monitor I have had that finally supports that elusive HDR mode in Win/11.You turn the mode on and it starts out flat, colour wise and the controls in your monitor shut you out of manually adjusting the RGB(they CAN be accessed through your video card control).So its a good idea to calibrate your monitor,the access for which,is I believe in the same area at the bottom.If you don’t have the calibration app installed it will take you away to a spot to get it.If it doesn’t just Google “windows calibration app” & it will take you to the appropriate place.It only involves about three easy steps.Once that’s done go back into your monitor and find the picture settings you like best,whether it’s warm,gamer,vivd,etc.I’ve settled,so far,for vivid(I’ve tried others).The colours really pop.But that’s my taste,yours may be something else.
Overall,quite an impressive piece of hardware.It’s super easy to get the hang of monitor adjusting(unlike a few others I’ve had) and gets easy fast in tweaking same.I think you’ll really enjoy this one.
