This monitor has great value. Honestly It looks and fells high quality. I play FPS games and I haven’t noticed any issues related to the monitor. I had some FPS drops ONLY because my pc isn’t quite strong enough to handle an extra monitor.

When I buy my next monitor, I will buy this one.

I really wish I could like this monitor, because trust me, I really tried to like it. For the combined hour that I owned two of these things, both almost immediately catastrophically failed.

The first monitor I had had an issue with its power delivery system (or something), and the more power the monitor used, the louder it would make a high-pitched whining noise. Like, think “EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!” really high pitched. The microphone might not pick up the full extent of it, but trust me, it caused literal headaches.

The second monitor came in a few days later, and it honestly worked well for the first thirty minutes. Then the 1/8th of the screen started to flicker, and eventually the whole screen just turned a blob of random colours, and stopped working.

This was incredibly annoying, because I was trying to replace an older monitor on a VESA stand with this one, which also meant that I had to install and uninstall that old monitor THREE TIMES because LG can’t make a functional monitor. I have another, older LG monitor with 5100 hours on it, and it has worked fine since day 1. Not sure why they couldn’t make these ones work, especially since they costed 3x as much.

The LG does have a very good UI though, and volume and brightness controls are very intuitive and easy to use. Would have been PERFECT if the rest of the display also worked.

Ended up getting an MSI Optix QHD 27 170hz instead for $370. Hopefully that one lasts longer and actually works. Also worth noting that Amazon service was at least very kind and helpful about the situation, so that made it a little better. Do not recommend this specific monitor, but LG does know how to make actual good monitors.

Quality is incredible and runs very smoothly for the price. Great for gaming, although every time it turns on and off it makes a very annoying beeping sounds for a couple of seconds.

My main monitor is a LG 32” 4K 144hz which I got for around $700 a few years back. I know OLED is the lates and greatest but I needed IPS for the viewing angles and because I leave my PC on 24/7 and game for hours. It’s worked flawlessly so when I wanted to pick up a second monitor I decided to keep it to the LG line and this one is like a baby brother of my main monitor, just at 1440p. Colors look great after adjustment, no dead pixels, no extreme IPS glow.

The only con is the round back design LG likes to do with their UltraGear line. You won’t be able to add a monitor bar with it. Also, the original stand has very limited adjustments, but if you’re using a third-party arm like me it’s not an issue. One other thing to note; when you remove the OEM stand, there’s a little mounting piece that kind of just sticks out from the back.

Other than that, this is a quality monitor. Admittedly I haven’t done hardcore gaming on this since I’m using it as a second monitor but the quick testing I did was great. Definitely recommend this especially if you can grab it at around $200. Great value.

Recommended by my programmer friend that’s passionate about technology. Works great, the image quality is good and I love the ‘texture’ of the screen: it’s matte, as opposed to a window, so it’s better with the lighting and reduces reflections. No complaints whatsoever and would buy again.

I saw a video about this monitor being available for $70 on black Friday pricing. By the time I got around to buying it, it was $85. I bought two of them, and I’m very happy, but there’s some caveats I think you should know.

This monitor does exactly what it says on the tin… and no more. It has one HDMI and one VGA input (why?) and that’s it. It takes in audio via HDMI and has a headphone out jack, and even has volume control on the control nub, but no speakers. It takes 19v power from a barrel jack, but you can swap that for a 20v supply from a USB-C brick with the right adapter (you want the 6.0×4.4mm barrel).

The HDR is rubbish, the VRR works fine. The picture quality is plenty good but not remarkable. The settings are pretty minimal and sane out of the box, you’ll tweak one or two of them and then never touch them again.

The stand is a joke. Of the two of these I bought, one of them was missing the 2 required screws to mount the display to the stand. Fortunately, it has a 100x100mm vesa mount on the back, though it doesn’t come with screws for that either. I put mine on monitor arms, and threw out the stands.

Basically, if you need a 24″ 1080p 120Hz display, and nothing else, of good quality, for as cheap as possible, this is it. For everything else, you’ll have to pay more.
