Almost everything showed the yellow yeild signs in the device manager for this mobo out of the box. Windows updates could not install the majority and each driver had to be manually installed from the Gigabyte website. The most difficult part was updating the bios as you have to get the “rev” version and exactly every word of your mobo displayed to get the correct zip file. After unzipping you need to rename the biggest file ‘GIGABYTE.bin’ in this exact way, place is in the root directory of your usb drive by itself and ensuring the drive is formatted Fat32, then making sure the usb drive is in the correct bios usb port, then press the qflash button on the mobo and wait several minutes until the flashing stops. There are so many similar version of this mobo it took forever to find the correct file and sequence to install.
Apart from this, it’s a great mobo

The original user’s manual was missing from the box which casts a doubt as to the ”new ” condition of the item.
I understand that the manual is available on the manufacturer’s website but still, I think it should be included in the box as a reference.

I went with this board as it has 8 onboard SATA connectors. The 2.5gbps ethernet port also a plus, I am using this in a server with a 25G fiber card and use this port to pass to a router VM (good for 1.5gbps service). Also, I wanted the white for this box, it’s a good looking board. The VM cooling just fits with the CPU cooler. Lots of fan headers.
I was also able to get the CPU where I wanted it (overclocked, underpowered, voltage capped), only real limitation of the BIOS I have encountered is no native RGB controls (well, ECC support would have been a plus also).
Been running 24/7 for the last 4-5 months without issue.

This is my 5th board in as many attempts to meet my needs for my new PC build with an Intel LGA 1700 CPU.
Previous boards didn’t make the cut because of:
Nonsense ports (PS/2, VGA and other useless ports), DOA (non-functioning) RJ45 (Ethernet) port, only 2 DIMM slots, poorly functioning USB ports, etc…
I was trying to save some $$$ but in the end found that I got what I paid for.
Quite happy with this board. Most impressed the 3 M.2 / NVMe, onboard SSD slots with onboard raid plus to 2 full PCIe x16 slots. Also impressed with the backpanel I/O ports as being the most practical and up-to-date design over the previous 4 board I went through.
And surprisingly I am becoming rather fond of the “ICE” theme with the white board colour. At first I was a strictly all “black” PC component guy, but the “white” grew on me. So much so, I’ve gone almost completely white now. Went with a white ASUS case (also bought on Amazon) and a white KB and mouse from Logitech and suffice to say I am quite happy the change to a white theme.
This board is the foundation of my whole system and I can’t image having a board I would be more happy with.
It’s been about 6 months running and no issues thus far.
