This Commode is almost all assemble, except to pull the back rail on. Took me only minutes. It is very sturdy and can be folded for storage. Use it in my bedroom to make life easier after my Total knee replacement this October. It even fit perfectly over my toilet, without having to remove the existing toilet seat and cover. However, will buy a separate plastic toilet riser for the toilet, as it is impossible to move it back and forth when can hardly walk even with a walker. Should have buy this one in the first place, except it said cannot be return unless it got defects. Bought one which cost more $79, it said folding commode, that one have to put together every single piece by piece, took over an hour, and found out it cannot be folded. To dismount it and put it back into the box is almost impossible. Took me 3 hrs. to jigsaw more than 20 times before it can barely fit back into the box to return. Should have buy this one right in the first place.

This is a lifesaver in our one bathroom house with three seniors. This commode is sturdy and well built The price is amazing.

The steel frame feels very stable, and it easily supports weight up to the stated 350 lbs. The included bucket has a handle and cover, which makes emptying and cleaning manageable. For added convenience, it can also be used directly over a standard toilet, so it doubles as a raised seat with arms when needed.

Comfort-wise, the seat is serviceable. It’s not padded, so extended sitting isn’t ideal, but for short-term use—especially post-surgery or for nighttime convenience—it works well. The armrests provide solid support for getting up and down, and the overall design feels safe and reliable.

A couple of points to keep in mind: the seat dimensions may feel a bit narrow for larger users, and while the build quality is good, some of the plastic parts aren’t as heavy-duty as the steel frame. Adding disposable commode liners makes cleanup even easier and helps with odor control.

Bottom line: A sturdy, versatile, and budget-friendly bedside commode that folds for storage, adjusts easily, and provides dependable support. Great choice for recovery, elderly care, or as a backup option for added safety at home.
