Description

  • This LoRa board comes unassembled, soldering is required, not equipped with lithium battery.
  • When you use lora esp32 915MHz, you need to use 2pcs together, one receiving and another sending.
  • You will receive, 1pcs 915MHz esp32 lora V3, 1pcs 915mhz lora antenna,and 1pcs 2pin 1.25mm connector.
  • LoRa V3 board are an improvement over the V2 version, but they are not a replacement.
  • LoRa 32 V2 use ESP32-D0WDQ6 MCU, but the V3 is ESP32-S3FN8, so pinout is different. The APIs used with the libraries are different, so programs written for V2 do not compile V3.

  1. William

Worked fine, arrived in good condition.

  2. DS

Great board!! Easy to set up and get going. Very basic. You can add a GPS module to the board plus you can add things like temp and humidity.Great way to get started!

  3. Guiguine

Perfect for a little project, like Meshtastic.

  4. Patrick

The media could not be loaded.

I made a waterproof case out of a relish jar and some plumbers putty… instead of paying $25 or more for a 3D-printed one. I’m excited because more and more nodes are showing up daily here. This may be an important SHTF communication channel that doesn’t rely on cell-towers. The more nodes, the better. I recommend using the “Long-Fast” setting. Please consider being part of this important initiative. 😀👍🏻👍🏻

  5. Paul R. Wade

Works well. Uses more current than others and the battery charge circuit is very slow- but overall it is a great way to get into lora

  6. Tyson

inexpensive and good quality! Don’t plug in battery or usb without antenna attached

  7. Ryan King

As described. Tested the included antenna on a nanoVNA, it’s not well turned for 915Mhz. But they never are?

  8. Gregory R Burnie

Decent board, but was missing the antenna all together. Had to order another 915mhz antenna to use.

  9. Paul R. Wade

So far this board holds my personal record for point to point distance at a little over 21 miles. Absolutely no complaints.

  10. Robvann

    this
Easy peazy to get online with Meshtastic. I followed this guys YouTube to flash the device and make a simple DIY RADIO. Search on YouTube for Meshtastic for Dummies and Haltec V3 Setup

  11. Cruello

The Meshtastic radio has truly impressed me with its reliable connectivity and user-friendly features, making off-grid communication easier and more accessible than ever. Its compact design and long battery life make it a perfect companion for outdoor adventures, and the intuitive interface allows for quick setup and seamless operation. The open-source platform and active community support add tremendous value, allowing users to customize and enhance their experience. The only drawback is that the screen can be somewhat fragile, so I recommend handling it with care or using a protective case. Overall, it’s a fantastic device for anyone looking to stay connected in remote areas.

  12. Patrick

Decided on this because of the fast ship time even though it didn’t have a project box and I was glad. Most other LoRa radios have an antenna that isn’t tuned for 915 MHz (the frequency used in the USA) but I tested this antenna and it was 1.8 SWR (below 2 is acceptable). I decided to get a little creative and used the plastic box it came in as the project box and I’m pretty pleased with myself. I used a 1/4 inch drill bit (by hand) to make the antenna port in the box and a 7/64 inch drill bit (again by hand and a pocket knife and patience) to make the USB C port in the box. All in all took about a half hour and works great. Even has room for a battery if I want to add one.

installed drivers for my win 11 pc and then started the flashing process to get it updated. and working via the app.
