I’ve brought this product many times, and still will. It’s amazing to get rid of greasy grime, and quicker on burnt roasting tins. I had a few tiny specks of grease that had gotten onto tiles at back of cooker. I would have to use metal scourers to scrub it of. But with this I’d spray and wait, then wipe. Also I found it amazing in my air oven.

I bought this product as I had an amazon gift card, I dont know if I’d have been willing to pay the full price (which is as high as it is because it has to be imported to the UK from the US rather than being made by P&G here in the UK), however my curiosity was strong enough as two of the most trustworthy guides on instagram (Cleanthatup for cleaning and Jeeves NY for laundry) both made frequest use of this product so I decided to give it a go. It arrived in proper packaging nicely sealed and wrapped so you knew it was the real product.

Having tested it out I can see why it is so popular in the US. The spray nozzel is the best ‘foaming’ nozzel I’ve seen on any spray bottle allowing for an even coverage and zero splashback. The product itself is a good degreaser when you need to either treat a surface where you cant use Fairy Liquid in water as its too wet or where you want a mild cleaning agent. I’ve used stronger degreasers before, but you need to understand this is strong but without being caustic or damaging and unlike regular Dawn liquid (or Fairy as it would be here in the UK) the extra ingredients in this power spray mean it can get to work a bit faster and without the need for ‘agitation’ to start to remove the mess from whatever surface it is on. The foam style delivery system makes it idean if you need to spray and let it ‘sit’ without dripping off.

It works very well as a pre-treatment agent for laundry too as per the other use I bought it for, I had some very delicate pillow covers where ordinary laundry pods were not removing the greasy texture so I pre-treated with this before washing and it did the job with zero damage. The scent is very fresh and mild.

I’d definately buy again, not sure how long the product will last, I intent to use it only when totally needed given the price, but the kit does include two bottles and after getting all the jobs I bought it for done I’ve used about a 1/3 of the first bottle.

Overall I think this is a case of ‘does what its supposed to’ and, if like me, you see lots of trusted US-based experts sharing this as part of the products they use for cleaning tasks its worth giving it a go to replicate exactly what they are using rather than risking an alternative so long as you dont mind the price. Very happy to give it 5 stars.

This stuff is amazing. Seriously changed the game for doing dishes, and more. I use this on my glass stovetop , makes cleanup a breeze. Baked in grease , eggs, etc, all get taken down by powerwash. Plus the spray bottles are awesome for repurpose use. I fill my empties with a mixture of vinegar and peppermint oil for a bug spray. Careful where you point this one, it can hurt the eyes!

Overall:
This Dawn Powerwash spray has become one of my favourite cleaning products in the kitchen. It’s not only great for washing dishes and pots, but it also works really well on the stovetop and around the sink. Just spray, let it sit for a moment, and most grease wipes away very easily.

Cons:
• The bottle uses product quite quickly if you spray a lot, so it can feel a bit expensive compared with regular dish soap.
• The scent is a little strong right after spraying, which some people might not like in a small kitchen.

Pros:
• Very effective on greasy dishes, pans and baking trays – especially when you don’t want to soak them for a long time.
• Works on multiple surfaces like the stovetop and backsplash, so you can clean the whole cooking area with one product.
• The spray bottle is easy to use and covers a wide area evenly.
• Saves time: spray, wait a short moment, and then everything rinses off quickly.

Suggestions for improvement:
• A more economical refill option or larger refill bottle would be great for people who use it every day.
• A lighter-scent or fragrance-free version would be nice for those who are sensitive to strong smells.

As a professional cleaner on and off since 1982 I have been a huge fan of Dawn for a long time and I use the industrial strength liquid soap (diluted) in a spray bottle, for pretty much all types of household cleaning, including spot cleaning carpet, upholstery, furniture and even bed mattresses. It is simple to do, spray soiled item with diluted ( industrial strength) dawn , sprinkle baking soda and use an old “soft” toothbrush to loosen the stain, then saturate with Cold water in a spray bottle and wipe clean. Repeat until the stain is gone.

This product is a wonderful degreaser! I love using it whenever I am cooking something really greasy like baking 3 lbs of thick cut bacon in the oven. Perfect for cleaning toaster ovens, rotisserie ovens, and air fryers! Not only does it clean my sheet pans and racks like new it also degreases my oven. I have used this to get old coffee and tea stains out of mugs/tea cups. I have used this to clean glass windows and mirrors. It literally will clean things that other products couldn’t get clean. I am certain that this product would also work well on carpet, upholstery and bed mattresses but I have not tried it yet. I highly recommend this product! I just wish it was cheaper. I also wish it came in much larger refill bottles because I like to have cleaning products in bulk!

Update: I still love this product very much but I have a dupe for it, add one TBS of professional dawn liquid dish soap, and two TBS of 99% alcohol to a 16 oz spray bottle or just repurpose one of these dawn spray bottles and fill the rest with hot water….it works great as a degreaser but soooo much cheaper!!
