Super bitter so I’m guessing they are rancid. I used them once and they were so bitter they destroyed my rather expensive smoothies 80 oz of smoothie down the drain not to mention 2 dragon fruit 2 mangos and a pineapple half a bag of organic spinach and a half a bag of organic kale fresh garlic spirulina protein. It’s my own fault I should have tasted them before I put it in food processor. You would think a brand new unopened bag of flax seed would be good at least for a little while after opening it but the first time I opened and used it ridiculously bitter. Maybe this company needs to do better quality control and test there products that are sitting in a hot warehouse. These should be kept cold pressed cold and stored cold and shipped cold. No one should have to waste money on food in today’s economy..Very dissapointed had to put one star just to post this but I give it ZERO stars

Very happy with my purchase. I did find out that ground flax is better for you than flax seeds as the seeds pass through a body mostly undigested. So I suggest you use a coffee grinder, food processor, etc to grind some seeds up every now and then and store in the fridge (store opened seed in the fridge as well if you can but make sure you refrigerate the ground up powder because this releases the oil in flax seeds which goes rancid quickly if not stored in the fridge. That’s why it’s best to make only smaller batches of ground flax seeds. It also helps make you feel full longer. I can testify to that first-hand. When I eat breakfast with flax seed (ground flax seeds with some whole flax seeds for roughage) I noticed right away that I can go for hours without feeling the least bit hungry which was never the case before. Usually I feel hungry within an hour or so after eating breakfast. Not now. Love that this is Canadian too!! I have had no negative gastrointestinal side effects and I have a very sensitive stomach. Can’t imagine not adding flax seeds/powder to breakfasts, baked foods, etc. now. It has become and will remain a staple in my diet. I highly recommend
