I have tried all three flavours. If I had to rank them, it would be the double chocolate first, then the chocolate chunk, and then the oatmeal and raisin. All three flavours are particularly dry and crumbly. They are also extremely sweet, but they also lack so much flavour? It applies way more to the oatmeal and raisin where the absence of the chocolate pieces is very, very, VERY apparent. The chocolate-based flavours are not just sweet, they also taste like, well, chocolate so there is some bitterness there which helps with the overwhelming sugar density.
The best way to describe the oatmeal and raisin cookie is that it almost *demands* some milk on the side. It’s kinda hard to just eat on its own due to its dryness. It’s like eating sweet dirt. And I love oatmeal and I love raisins, so that’s saying something.
Their shelf life is also much less so than other cookies on the market, like Oreos or Chips Ahoy. Plus, I have to be honest: those cookies are so much more delicious, too. If you buy a box now, they will expire in a few months. This is comparison to a year or so for other cookies.
As someone with a bodybuilder diet and needing some carbs to fill a 4000 calorie goal, these cookies are a godsend, though, especially if you’re out and about. A dollar or so for a cookie for 400 calories is extremely convenient. It’s definitely not for people on a diet, though! And I don’t think it’s worth it in that circumstance either, because the taste would make you regret your actions.
