My kids are obsessed with mechanical pencils, and these BIC Extra Smooth pastel ones instantly became the hottest item in elementary school. Smooth writing, fun colors, and apparently very high social value.
They were such a hit that we ended up giving some away in my youngest daughter’s birthday goodie bags. Big mistake. I now know which kids remember that party and which ones are hoping for a sequel.
They write well, do not jam, and make kids genuinely excited to do schoolwork, which feels suspicious. Five stars for quality pencils and accidental popularity.
