I ordered this turtle bath thermometer mainly because it was so cute, and I’m happy to say it works just as well as it looks. It’s a nice size, it’s easy to hold, and feels sturdy enough for regular bath time use.
It is also very simple to operate, and I appreciate that it is ready to go right out of the box! The thermometer’s minimum (too cold) and maximum (too hot) temperatures are pre-set, and it is equipped with batteries.
One of the best features is the temperature alert system. You can set the minimum and maximum temperatures, and the light changes colour to let you know if the water is too cold (blue) or too hot (red), which is super helpful. There’s also an on/off button to help conserve battery, and it automatically shuts off after a period of time. You can also change the units from Fahrenheit to Celcius, depending on your preference.
Overall, this thermometer gives great peace of mind when preparing baths for babies, and it’s just as useful for older kids too. It’s cute, practical, and easy to use. Buy with confidence!

This thermometer is super adorable and very easy to use. It gives quick, (seemingly) accurate temperature readings and floats nicely in the bath. The auto shut-off feature helps save battery life, which is convenient as I don’t often remember to turn it off when I get started with bath time. It doubles as a bath toy and which reduces having a tonne of extra items around to store!

The turtle thermometer comes with a manual and 2 LR44 batteries preinstalled. The turtle doubles as both a toy and thermometer. It’s made from what feels like a hard rubber material and measures around 10cm (4″) tall.

I’ve tested the thermometer from around 10 to 50 Celsius and compared against several other thermometers and it appears to match them all in measurement. The thermometer will detect if it’s in water or air and adjust its operation accordingly.

In the water the thermometer will activate a cold and hot LED warning light where under 30C a blue LED will light up and display the word COOL on the LCD, and when the temperature is too high it will light up a red LED and the word HOT will display on the LCD. The high temperature warning can be set to 37, 38, 39, or 40 Celsius, with the default set to 39C. The cold warning is fixed to 30C.

In the air, the thermometer will disable the LED and HOT/COOL functions and just display the ambient temperature. The device will automatically activate when it senses that it’s in the water and will stay awake for 40 minutes, in the air mode pressing any button will turn on the display and it will go to sleep after 15 minutes. Long pressing the + button will also put the device to sleep. The thermometer also supports displaying both Celsius and Fahrenheit.

The device is waterproof, and the battery compartment is a bit hard to open due to the rubber seal and waterproof nature. In person the turtle looks really appealing, the colors have a nice pastel hue, and turtle gives off a warm, nice smile.

The only negative is that it would have been nice to have the thermometer always stay on and the turtle have the ability to stand on its own, so when it’s not in the tub it could be used to always display the room temperature.

Overall this makes for a nice children’s toy and a good way to monitor bath water temperature even when at a distance.
