This is a decent motherboard for the am4 platform, I used this to set up a home theatre PC with gaming capabilities and it is working well so far with no issues. There are good options for extra storage, built-in wifi AND Bluetooth, and since it’s mATX it is easier to work within a smaller case. Be warned though, the wifi drivers do not work out of the box and that can halt your Windows setup, so I had to use a spare USB wifi dongle and download the new drivers from the Asus support site. Also, I dislike the flimsy and poorly designed I/O shield and sharp edges of the VRM heat sink.

Worked out of the box with my new Ryzen 5500, RTX 5050, and SSD with Windows 11 installed. Even had an option in the BIOS for Resizable Bar. Manufacturing date on the box said April 2025.
Everything is working well! Couldn’t boot at first but my RAM just wasn’t fully seated. Also was having problems connecting to bluetooth headphones until I realized that the included WiFi adapter is also the bluetooth adapter and must be installed.
Also be aware that if you are installing the basic stock AMD cooler, you will need to hold the backplate in place as it most likely will fall off the back after unscrewing the pre-installed stands for higher-end coolers. And as far as I can tell, there are no debug leds on this motherboard. But I maybe I just missed them.

Build a nice computer for less then a 1000$ ca that still kicks aside my old computer that I build 12 years ago at the price of 2500$

This kit support without any problem Win 11 24H2 latest release almost a plug and play. (Installed it on the 22 Nov 2024 and never seen that before not one issue.)

I’m not a hardcore gamer but I love my dead island, day light, etc… level of games and yes that system will support those and maybe more demanding games (Do your DD to find out, like I said I’m a mild gamer) no problem even projected on a 10 feet X 5 feet wall.

So, my goal was to try at best not to invest my saving and have a nice machine that is functional for what I need, and not to flex (Look at me I got a machine that goes around Jupiter and back but it costed me 5000$) LOL

You could also overclock that system with a little bit of knowledge, and the bios readiness unlock the RAM which is set to nominal 2133 or so to full values (Mine are 3200 MHz) at a click away, Rams have a build in profile to facilitate its full profile.

And do not forget that you have room for expending for a bigger graphic card, RAM and a bit more room for the processor then what I used.

So this was my quest on AMAZON to get something more recent then the Asus P8Z77- deluxe (2012) which is still fine but does not support win 11 due to TPM and for the hardcore gamers Steam do not support any longer the win 7, 8, 8.1 and it is just a question of time before win 10 will no longer be supported by Steam.

Yes, I forgot, I can install win 11 on the Asus P8Z77 deluxe (2012) with the removal of the TPM notification but at the long run it keeps bugging more often then I care for, so, for all my software that I have for editing video, creating music etc….. Win 7 on this Asus P8Z77 deluxe works fine, and I know that win 10 will support my old system, so I will experiment more on the subject.

In conclusion I got something that kick for less then 1000$ ca and I build it my self from A to Z without any problem (Plug and play I would say) and will last some years without having to cash out money left and right.

I put together a backup PC using this board with an AMD 4750G and it works flawlessly. I especially love the BIOS of Asus boards, particularly with adjusting the fan speeds. There’s a utility in the BIOS that detects the optimal fan curves for your cooling setup and it works for both 3 pin DC and 4 pin PWM fans and that’s just one of the many features of the BIOS. The back panel has a decent selection of ports, including 1x USB-C.

There are 2x M.2 slots however, depending on what you’ve got plugged in only one of them might be active. In my case, with a SATA SSD plugged in to one of the SATA ports, the upper M.2 slot (near CPU) didn’t recognize my NVME drive, only the bottom M.2 slot did.(near panel connectors).

Other than that quirk, it’s a decent board and it has pretty RGB effects too if you’re into that.

Most of Asus Prime board are good, Didn’t receiveived it at this time, but buy a lot of those board and they have Heat Spreader on both SoC and VRM and the one on chipset is well design with no fan and more aluminium and you’re case fans keep cooling it if you have good fans 😉

P.S. in the photo, the only one i got flaw is on case fan connector after BIOS upgrade, but was an intel 13th gen version MicroATX Wifi Plus first version i think, reroute them to PSU via fans HUB in this case but no more fan curve control but still good with good low noise fan, 1 problem encounter vs a lot of builds. Most important for me when choosing a board is Heat spreader and what i’m looking to build and cpu price and 4 ram slot and number on fan connector. You can get B550 Motherboard with Ryzen 5 5500 with 16GB of Dual chan ram DDR4 for really good price, and put really good GPU on it for gaming with PSU with enough power to drive it 😉
