Très satisfaite, elle n’est pas trop large, parfait pour des petits poignets ou pour une montre plus délicate. Fonctionne très bien avec mon iphone. Un investissement très intéressant.

The Past Decade: I’d been in a long-term relationship with three Garmins and a flirtation with a Fitbit.
Where Heart Rate monitoring was concerned It was like being married to monitors that just couldn’t commit—especially when it came to tracking short interval workouts. Garmin would be like, “Were you exerting yourself? Sorry, I was distracted.” Of course, you can get a chest strap for a more accurate reading, but these randomly got in a huff and stopped talking to my phone after what seemed a rather short time necessitating further purchases. “You’re using Bluetooth? Oh sorry, I had that tooth extracted”.

The 2nd peeve with Garmin is the awful charger plug. My latest Venue SQ would randomly shut down when it was connected to charge and would take up to 30 mins of messing about before it would be gently coaxed back to life. Im guessing the plug was designed by an engineer with a sadistic streak who wanted to test the limits of human patience.

Enter Apple:
It charges with a magnet transducer so no more proprietary cables and plugs. It’s not a rapid, in fact you might consider is “a tempered pace” but the watch doesn’t go comatose either at the thought of adding charge to its capabilities.

And for me the real clincher, so far the watches HR is within a couple of BPM everytime!
I’ve used it cycling, doing a weight resistance training workout, stepmaster, treadmill and elliptical. Where I’ve compared it to the gym devices HR monitoring (uses the small mV signals across the skin) it’s really accurate. (OK, that’s not quite up with a 12 lead ECG’s accuracy, but it’s good enough for this function).

The only downside, (there’s always a downside right), getting the Apple Watch and free Strava to play nice took some convincing, but it’s possible and does work.

When it comes to looks, the digital watch face selections are… “functional fashion”. Nothing you’d send a postcard home about, but they do their job without offending most people’s sense of style.

Summary: Based on my experience so far (OK, it’s the honeymoon period for sure) I should have ditched Garmin years ago.

Update a month later: Battery life SUCKS! be prepared to charge everyday, sometimes twice a day if you use GPS for a cycle ridge or whatever. Its a considerable flaw in the watch design.

Love the watch it’s beautiful and works perfectly for what I needed it too, but the battery is horrible it doesn’t even last 24 hours. Another thing is when in workout or walking mode it always self pauses for no reason which is super annoying
