I rent, so I cant really modify my toilet seat to be one of those that closes slowly. Ours do not have any sort of mechanism that softens the closing. These silicone pads for the seat has really helped us not have any bangs anymore.
The pads dont smell anything, and they are soft and flexible. We put the four small pieces under the seat, and the large one on the lid.
I havent washed it yet but I hope it still sticks even after washing it. Otherwise I will update this review.
Overall tho, ig is a good addition to our toilet so the seat and the lid doesnt bang when you close it.

Good quality toilet seat buffers. The silicone material is soft, and they help reduce noise when lowering the seat. Easy to install and they stay in place well over time.
