Now that my 1 year old is getting into everything, she has found that it is fun to go through my kitchen cabinets. I was okay with her doing so, except the cabinet beneath my sink, which holds cleaning supplies. She also liked to open drawers and leave them open, which became a hazard to me lol. So I hopped on Amazon and looked for some cabinet locks. These locks are fantastic! Very easy to apply and customizable! I got the package of 10, very affordable, and still have some left over in case she decides she wants to open anything else that she shouldnt!! I cannot attest to the removal process as I do not plan on removing these locks anytime soon. They use a heavy duty command strip on the back, so even if there is residue left over, it would be able to easily be removed. These locks are also perfect for refrigerators, side by side doors or single door. Like I said, they are customizable! I’m very happy with my purchase!

Locks are great. Installed upside down with 0 issues. Work perfectly. Huge upgrade over the little strap type locks. No need for the stickers as the lock makes a little audible click when it’s been triggered by the magnet. My children haven’t been able to open them and very quickly gave up even trying to.

They aren’t difficult at all to install, had a whole cabinet sorted out in about 5 minutes. Just examine the lock and get familiar with how it works, then it will make sense. Once you’ve done one, the rest are very easy. Adhesive has held up well so far. Use the included ruler to measure the door thickness, then place the plate at that distance, facing into the cabinet. Place the lock on the door, away from the edge a tiny bit less than the thickness of the plate. Super easy.

Only note is that they won’t work on a metal cabinet. Tried to install on a metal locker style door, but the magnet in the lock was reacting to the door itself.

Also, I initially had a problem with something Amazon had done to the package in shipping, but this company stepped in and made it right, without my even asking. Pretty rare that any seller on Amazon actually cares about buyer after the sale is done.

This is a great product. My son will be 2 in a month, and he has recently discovered all of the fun stuff in the kitchen drawers. I love that you receive so many in this package. It is enough to really childproof a small kitchen. The adhesives are strong but depending on what drawer you add them to a very strong child may be able to pull them off with strong force. This is something you would need to test on your own. This worked perfectly for me. My child also knows that he should not touch this drawer because this is on it now. They are easy to install, but the lock can be tricky at times to get unlocked. It will also take some creativity to install them on certain drawers depending on how your kitchen is set up. Overall, I like them and would recommend them.

We tried these magnetic locks to keep our cabinets baby-proofed, but they didn’t work on all of them. For some cabinets, the fit just wasn’t right. Also, using the magnetic key to open the locks can get a bit tiring, especially when you have to reach for it frequently. They do offer good security, but overall, it was a bit of a mixed experience for us.

These baby proofing latches are well made, come with high quality 3M adhesive, and are easy to install and operate.

They also include 6 extra adhesive pads (enough to reuse 3 of the latches).

I have not tested the removal process, as my latches are still in use, but from the type of adhesive used it will be more involved that removing something like a command strip. Because of this, I stuck mine to surfaces where damage was unlikely. like the glass of a cabinet door instead of the painted wood (see photo). You will not be able to reuse the original adhesive after removing the latch.

I’m a little concerned that my kiddo will figure out how to open them, as it’s not very difficult to do, but so far they have done their job.

Installation was very easy and was happy with the locks initially. However, after 2 days of use we have had several that are defective. The drawers and cupboards are locked and the magnet doesn’t work to unlock it. We have replaced a few thinking that we had 1 or 2 defective locks, however it continues to happen. Would not recommend as its very frustrating to have just installed many child locks and then not be able to get into drawers. The only way is the break the locks by really pulling them open. Now we just have several broken locks on our cabinets and no solution to our toddler opening things up.

As a side note, even if these worked perfectly, you cannot operate them with one hand (inherently, as you need a hand to hold the magnet and a hand to open the drawer/cupboard while it is unlocked) and that is something I didn’t think of before purchasing. As I’m often trying to do thing one-handed these days I find this a bit annoying as well.

These magnetic child locks work really well and give great peace of mind. The set comes with a good number of locks and clear, easy-to-follow instructions. Installation does take some time and patience, especially depending on your cabinet or drawer layout, but once they’re on, they’re very secure.

The magnets and 3M adhesive are strong, my little guy still hasn’t been able to pull any drawers open.
