Boost Protein+ Chocolate Meal Replacement Shake, 4 x 325 ml

I got a decent price on this, however they have gone up SO much that I can’t buy it on the regular like I used to.

Well, (almost) everybody knows the great reputation of Boost for helping people as they recover and maintain their health. I have recommended it myself for many of my elderly clients. This time, I bought it to stock up for my own upcoming recovery from a total knee replacement. It seems I may have great difficulty managing the stairs and may spend many hours and days stuck upstairs away from the kitchen, so this product will be a very welcome relief. Also, Amazon’s price is much better than what I have found in the stores, even at a sale price!

I have had the idea of trying this product out for quite a while and finally decided to give it a shot. Once I chilled it to a proper drinking temperature, I gave it a taste, and it wasn’t bad at all! It didn’t leave any aftertaste in my mouth and the texture was nice. It also filled me up enough so that I was not craving any other food until a few hours later. The only thing is that it does tend to be a bit on the pricey side for what it is. While I will most likely order some again just to have on hand when next winter starts in case I get snowed in or just don’t feel like trudging out for food, it is not something I will buy on a regular basis. But overall, while it is a good product, there are others out there that would be more cost-effective for my budget.

I love these, they are not as tasty as the regular boost drinks, but this will do, eating more veg than the usual meat eating thing has made it harder to make sure i’m getting the right amount of protein in my diet, so i use these to ensure i get the right amount of protein every day, they are filling too so they help keep some snackiness away too, sure they could be tastier, but these are more of a vessel for protein than something i want to savor so i don’t care that much. 🙂
