Seems like great quality, the A frame is very sturdy. Super happy with them overall. The only downside, like others have stated, is the smell. We don’t have a very big place and after opening these dumbells our whole house stunk really badly. I’m guessing it’s whatever coating was used to apply the rubber coating or something. Gave them a scrub with a wash cloth and some dish soap and now a couple weeks later we’ve either gone nose blind or the smell has disappeared. I’d suggest having a garage gym or perhaps basement.

The CAP Barbell Rubber Coated Dumbbell Set with Vertical Rack is a fantastic addition to any home gym. The weights feel solid, the rubber coating helps protect floors, and the vertical rack saves space while looking sleek.
However, one of the rubber end caps came loose shortly after setup, which was disappointing. It doesn’t affect functionality, but it does make the set look less polished. For the price, I expected better quality control.
Still, the set performs well and is a great value for anyone looking to build a compact weight station.

Great weight set! This set comes with two; 5, 10, 15, 20 & 25 pound dumbbells. Yes, as others have noted, they arrive with an oily film on the handles and there is a significant rubber smell. I suspect that the oily film is a coating on the metal handles that is applied during the manufacturing process to keep them from rusting. I simply wiped the weights down with a mixture of hot water and Dawn© dish soap. The film is no longer present and the rubber smell goes away after a few days. The stand is very sturdy easy to assemble. However, be careful tightening the bolts! I got a little too aggressive and snapped a bolt in half. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.
