It serves its purpose adequately, providing a comfortable grip for the Joy-Con controllers as advertised. However, I can’t help but feel disappointed by the quality of the product.

While it functions well and does what it’s supposed to do, the feel of the grip in hand leaves much to be desired. It has a cheap and plasticky feel to it, which detracts from the overall experience. I understand that it’s a cheaper alternative compared to the original, but I had hoped for a more substantial feel.

That being said, there are no functional issues to complain about. The grip securely holds the Joy-Con controllers in place, and I haven’t encountered any issues with its performance.

These are knock off grips for switch joy cons.

I’m going to say they’re better than Nintendo authentic. Here’s why
    1. Cheaper price tag which is the way it should be
    2. Slightly beefier handles. See pic of angles shot. The handles are beefier and has more angle or slope. More comfortable.
    3. The bottom of the handle is a bit rubbery. Much better grip. The Nintendo brand is just hard plastics.
    4. No issue sliding in joycons. Perfect fit just like oem.

Calling it. This is much better than oem brand.

  3. Très satisfait

I bought this Power A Joy Con Controller grip for a second set of Joy Cons. It works just like the grip that came with the switch. Just plug in your Joy Cons and go! It is comfortable to hold, and slightly more grippy (rubbery) than the original one.

  4. Em

Does exactly what it says on the tin! Thanks! Great product!

  5. Amazon Customer

Just as good as the original if not better. Love the grippyness and it’s a bit wider then the original

  6. Amazon Customer

Ok. There is plastic molding close to the buttons that disengage the controllers from the JoyCon. It’s a tight squeeze to get your fingers in to disengage. Doable but not the authentic Nintendo product, which solves this issue. Otherwise good.

Great controller comfort grip. It feels much nicer than my original one I got when buying my Nintendo switch. Would definitely recommend. Feels high quality and works as it should. Love it

Le support est de meme qualité que celui fourni par Nintendo avec la console !
Très bon niveau qualité/prix, il est solide et match parfaitement avec les joyn con.

I didn’t want to spend twice as much on the charging grip, and I don’t think that I would have used the charging function anyway. I purchased this grip instead, and I am very pleased with it.

The centre section is slightly wider, but only by a couple of millimetres. The handles are a bit thicker and have a slight bend in them, which makes them fit into my hands more comfortably. I have average-sized male hands. I don’t find the OEM grip uncomfortable, but I do find this grip slightly more comfortable. The underside also had a rubbery feel, which is nice.

The only small criticism that I can think of is that the rails are plastic instead of metal. But the joy-cons slide in easily and I don’t see the plastic becoming a problem. It seems sturdy enough. Also, the release button is in a little bit of a tight spot, but I don’t have any issues pressing it easily.

I have included some photos of this grip with a side-by-side comparison with the OEM grip. This grip is on the left of each photo.
